PFP Barbell was founded in January of 2017 by Maggie and Tom Duer.  After participating and Coaching Crossfit for a few years, the Duers shifted their primary focus to Olympic Style Weightlifting. After bouncing around from gym to gym they opened up a USAW facility inside of Pittsburgh Fitness Project (www.pittsburghfitnessproject.com) . Since its inception, PFP Barbell has welcomed over 30 athletes to learn the Snatch and Clean and jerk included 15+ athletes competing in their first ever meets. The primary goal of the club is to introduce as many people as possible to the sport of weightlifting.
If you are interesting in learning more about the sport , want to master these complicated movements, compete in a new sport , or are looking for a new way to challenge yourself , come down and give weightlifting a try. We offer a free 60 minutes barbell introduction . Email [email protected] for more info .

Appreciate you reading and sharing your story since I can certainly relate and I think others can to
