PFP Strength Fest: A celebration of strength, community, and local business. Cash and other prizes awarded in a strength competition!
Are you the strongest athlete in the Pittsburgh Area? Do you love to hang out with strong people? Want to compete in a different style of strength competition than you are used to? Want to help local athletes and coaches compete on a national stage? Interested in winning a cash prize for being strong?
Pittsburgh Fitness Project is hosting the 1st Annual PFP Strength Fest & Fundraiser! A strength contest, local fitness festival, and interactive event!
Join us and show off your hard-earned strength! This is a team competition !
Entry fees for competitors will go toward Cash Prizes for our overall winners. The festival and strength event are FREE for spectators!
**In additional to a community celebration, Strength Fest is a fundraiser for the PFP Barbell National Team. (All proceeds will help athletes and coaches with entry fees, travel, and lodging related to USA Weightlifting Nationals and/or the North American Open Final.)
Within the doors of Pittsburgh Fitness Project, witness (or participate in!) feats of strength by local athletes from all different sports and backgrounds! In the time between competitions, participate in short workouts and demonstrations taught by qualified coaches. Directly outside of PFP, engage with local fitness and wellness businesses while enjoying local food, beer, and spirits.
SuperTotal Event:
Each Team will have 20 min to find a max in each lift. Lifts will be performed and scored in kilograms.
Order Of Lifts
Snatch: Barbell from ground to overhead in 1 movement
Permissible forms of Snatch include:
Clean + Jerk: Barbell from ground to overhead in 2 movements
Permissible forms of Clean include:
Squat: Squat with barbell, must break parallel
Permissible forms of Squat include:
Deadlift
Permissible forms of Deadlift include:
Strict Press: Barbell press from shoulder to overhead, no bend in knee

Squat: Squat with barbell, must break parallel

- Low bar
- High bar
Deadlift
Permissible forms of Deadlift include:
- Traditional
- Sumo
Strict Press: Barbell press from shoulder to overhead, no bend in knee
Teams Catagories

- Women's
- Open: Any combination of 4 atheletes
